Issue 8 | January 2007
The evening celebration event was held at the Xscape, Castleford and was attended by more than 80 delegates. Joan Palmer, Skills Director of the LSC Yorkshire & The Humber, opened the evening by congratulating training providers and colleges in the region for their success. Joan highlighted the tangible benefits identified by successful Customer First organisations on their customers, in particular improved employer engagement. This improvement was measured through the independent mystery shopping research carried out earlier in the year, which identified that compliant organisations performed better than their non-compliant peers across a range of measures. The full research report can be found at www.customerfirst.org.
Three Customer First organisations - Skipton Building Society, Huddersfield Technology College and JHP - all shared their positive experience of working towards achieving Customer First and highlighted the impact their achievement has had on their organisation and their customers.
The evening’s event was concluded by Keith Ramsay, Chief Executive, Customer First UK, who presented ten recently compliant organisations with their certificates.
The event was a huge success and gave organisations the opportunity to share good practice and network.
