Update- Customer First UK National Roll-Out of the Customer First Standard

Customer First continues to consolidate its position as the Standard in the Yorkshire and Humber region for business support organisations. 'Putting the Customer First' firmly has its roots established in this region with over 300 organisations committed to achieving the Standard. Our position in this sector has been recognised through our continued work with Partners including Yorkshire Forward, the NFEA and SFEDI. In April 2008 Customer First will be involved in sponsoring SFEDI's Enterprise Support Awards at the prestigious BAFTA venue in London. Furthermore, Customer First UK Chair, Helen West recently recieved an OBE for her support to business services in this region, including being one of the original founders of the Customer First Standard.
However, expansion into all the UK home countries and new sectors continues for the Customer First Standard. Belfast Metropolitan College has become the first organisation in Northern Ireland to achieve the Standard. And our presence continues to build momentum in the financial services sector, in particular the insurance market which has recently seen AMG Holdings and MAPS Legal Assistance achieve the Standard as well as global brand Daimler Insurance Services make a commitment.
In recent months we've seen organisations from Housing, Security, Health and Property sectors achieve the Standard as well as growing interest from these sectors - utilities, communications, transport, retail, and hospitality.
With the brand gathering strength and recognition in the customer services marketplace, Customer First UK has just launched a new service for our customers - the Approved Consultants. The consultants are in place to support every step of the Customer First Journey as well as offer broader consultancy services to support organisations to develop a customer focused service culture. The service has just been launched with considerable interest from consultants wanting to join this network as they recognise the value in being associated with the Customer First Brand.
